People often confuse IBD with IBS.
IBD stands for Inflammatory Bowel Disease and IBS stands for Irritable Bowel Syndrome.
But in this article, we are going to focus on Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) and tell you a little more about it.
Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) is a term that refers to 2 diseases: Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis.
Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) can affect both women and men, usually in their late teens or twenties, but there have been reports of small children as young as 2 yrs. old and older adults in their 70’s and 80’s that had it.
So what is Crohn’s disease?
Crohn’s disease causes inflammation of the lining and wall of your intestines mainly. Both intestines are at risk. When your intestines are inflamed, the lining of your intestinal wall gets red and swollen, becoming ulcerated and it bleeds. Crohn’s Disease can also affect your gastrointestinal tract and ulcers can occur in your esophagus and stomach.
And what does it mean to have Ulcerative Colitis?
Ulcerative Colitis affects young people, usually ranging from 15 to 40 years of age. It is a chronic disease that occurs only in the inner lining of your colon or rectum. The lining of your large intestine becomes inflamed and this keeps water from being retained into your bloodstream, causing diarrhea.
Now, you may wonder, what causes these diseases?
Unfortunately, the cause of these digestive diseases is not known, although there are some theories like genetics and changes in your body’s immune system that are led to believe that they play a big role when someone gets diagnosed with Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD). Also stress is not completely confirmed that it causes Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), but it’s very possible that it aggravates it.
Symptoms are very similar in both diseases, but not the same. For instance, in Crohn’s Disease, Pain in the abdomen (usually in the lower right side), rectal bleeding, diarrhea, weight loss and fever are among the most common symptoms.
And for Ulcerative Colitis, patients report having rectal bleeding, diarrhea, abdominal cramps, nausea and frequent fever as their common symptoms.
Like in many other diseases, there’s also the possibility of complications.
In Crohn’s Disease for instance, the most common complication is the blockage of the intestine and the formation of fistulas. On the other hand, Ulcerative Colitis patients, whose colon is entirely affected or for those who have been suffering from this disease for more than 8 yrs., are at a higher risk of developing colon cancer.
If you suspect you are suffering from either Crohn’s Disease or Ulcerative Colitis, we strongly suggest to see a doctor.
The right doctor to visit would be a Gastroenterologist.
Diagnosis is very similar in both cases. He or she will take your medical history and perform a physical examination, which may include blood tests and samples of a bowel movement.
If needed, your doctor will suggest a colonoscopy and perhaps even take a tissue sample as they perform such a test.
A small bowel x-ray or capsule endoscopy may be required for patients who are suffering from Crohn’s Disease.
Your Gastroenterologist will also discuss with you a treatment plan about nutrition, medical therapy, emotional support and perhaps, surgery. Some methods may result in side effects.
As we mentioned earlier, Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) is a chronic disease, meaning that you’ll have periods that you feel great and can actually enjoy a normal life, but then Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) can come back all of the sudden.
The best tip for those who have continuing symptoms is to know your body and how Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) affects it. Also learn how to care for yourself and have control over those things that you actually can control. One thing that many people found helpful is to find a support group, including family and friends, or even local support groups. Support groups are not only encouraging, but they can also bring back a positive feeling and confidence in your life. Lastly, be sure to follow your doctor’s suggestions and instructions.
We hope you’ve learned a little more about Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) and please share with your family or friends, if you or someone you know has been diagnosed.
How can Digestinol help?
Digestinol is an all-natural supplement that helps support and promote digestive health as well as support your immune system. Its biggest benefit is the ability to target and reduce inflammation within your digestive system. Inflammation along your digestive system is one of the main reasons for pain/discomfort associated with digestive disorders. It can help with both constipation as well as diarrhea, because it gets your body back to normal so the amount of fluid in your colon is regulated the way it should be.
What is Digestinol?
Our product contains AMP (Aloe Mucilaginous Polysaccharides) which is an all-natural molecule found in the aloe vera plant. It is known to enhance the body’s immune system due to its anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, anti-bacterial and anti-viral properties. We have a 97-98% success rate reported from people who take Digestinol as directed for 90 days or longer.
If you are not interested in prescription medications to treat your condition and prefer a more natural approach, Digestinol makes all-natural capsules that contain a very specific form of Aloe Polysaccharides to target the inflammation along your digestive tract.

These capsules also provide your body with the nutrients that it is lacking in order to take back control of itself. Digestinol isn’t just Aloe Vera powder, Aloe Vera (contains Aloin) which irritates your digestive system and can cause diarrhea. Digestinol undertakes very specific additional steps in order to remove the Aloin during their extraction process to focus on only the beneficial portions of the Aloe Leaf, the long chain Aloe Mucilaginous Polysaccharide molecules.
Since Digestinol is 100% all-natural it doesn’t bring along the side effects that other chemically based prescription medications have. We tell our customers to think of Digestinol as an all-natural digestive system specific vitamin that reduces inflammation and provides your body with specific nutrients that allow it to take back control of itself.
Our Digestinol capsules will also help to balance the good and bad bacteria levels in your body allowing it to regain control of its normal operations.
